Email marketing used to be simply placing an ad in an existing e-zine or purchasing a bulk email software and blasting an advertisement out to the world of unsuspecting email recipients.
Email marketing today can have a large impact on existing and potential clients with correct use of many tools ranging from the small, but highly important, corporate signature line to more high tech audio and/or video commercials. All are delivered directly to the recipients' email boxes with in seconds after deployment.
With low production cost, email marketing has proven to have a higher ROI (Return on Investment) than most other Internet marketing tools.
Email marketing and traditional direct marketing campaigns have many similar characteristics. For example, both can deliver high quality images with rich text formatting to target existing and potential clients. Unlike traditional direct marketing, however, email marketing has a fast turnaround time, is easier to track response rate, and costs are considerably low to produce and implement.
